We would like to clarify that this product is an NFC card designed to function with supported features in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It is not based on physical appearance such as visible chips or printed numbers, as NFC functionality depends on an embedded chip inside the card that is not externally visible. Because of this, differences in appearance do not indicate whether the card is functional or not.
Regarding the issue you experienced, it is uncommon for multiple controllers to fail to detect a card simultaneously, but NFC scanning can sometimes be sensitive to positioning, timing, or system response. That said, we are not dismissing your experience, if the card truly does not respond at all, we will absolutely take responsibility and resolve it.
Before proceeding, we kindly ask if you could try one more quick check:
* Fully restart the console (not sleep mode)
* Use the NFC touchpoint on the right Joy Con and hold the card steady for a few seconds
* Scan within the in game prompt where NFC is supported
If the card still does not register after this, we will be happy to arrange a replacement or provide a proper resolution.
